We are pleased to inform you that Newport City Council has approved a 25% business rates reduction for eligible retail, hospitality and leisure businesses based in the BID area.

This discount will mainly benefit small, independent businesses.

This is the fifth successive annual 25% reduction provided by the council. It is the only such discount in Wales, and follows considerable lobbying by Newport Now BID on behalf of our members - highlighting again the importance of the BID.

We are grateful to the council for continuing this vital support for independent businesses.
