Martyn's Law is coming to the UK in 2023.
Named after one of the victims of the Manchester Arena bombing, the new law - officially known as Protect Duty - means entertainment venues and other buildings accessible to the public will have a duty to take measures to protect people from potential attacks.
Other businesses, including retail, already have varying degrees of anti-terrorism responsibilities.
A conference aimed at management and decision-makers from the retail, night time and business community in South Wales has been arranged for the morning of Wednesday, January 18, at City Hall in Cardiff.
Counter-terrorism experts from the police and other agencies will provide information for businesses about their responsibilities, training opportunities, and the new Protect Duty.
Full details are in the attached flyer. To reserve a place at the conference, please click here.
