Newport Now BID is playing a central part in Festive Newport - a series of Christmas events designed to make the city centre a go-to destination this year.
The sparkling package includes:
A winter wonderland with an ice rink, food stalls and a Ferris Wheel.
The BID's ever-popular Countdown to Christmas event on November 16 with the lights switch-on, music, special guests, fairground rides and a fantastic firework display.
Santa’s workshop events, bauble photo opportunities and festive food stalls in Friars Walk.
The BID's Christmas market stalls in High Street every Thursday to Sunday during December.
Festive shows including the panto Dick Whittington in The Riverfront and a series of events in Newport Market including the City of Newport Male Choir.
And parking will be free every Saturday in council-owned city centre car parks from November 16 to December 31.
Partners including the BID, the council, Friars Walk, Newport Live and Newport Market are as busy as elves getting ready to make it a glittering festive season to remember.
We'll also be celebrating the city centre's amazing independent retailers on Small Business Saturday on December 7.
More details on all the Festive Newport events will be released in the next few weeks.
A reminder that the Christmas markets are being run by the BID in partnership with Newport-based Green Top Events thanks to funding from the UK Government's Shared Prosperity Fund.
